These Terms & Conditions apply when you visit the Lumina website or buy a Lumina product or service. Lumina is operated by ONESMALLSTUDIO LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 13191827 ('Lumina', 'we', 'us' or 'our'). Registered office: 139 Grosvenor Avenue, London, N5 2NH. Email: lumina@onesmallstudio.co.uk. ONESMALLSTUDIO LTD is not VAT registered. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
2. What Lumina provides
Lumina is a digital lighting-planning service for residential interiors. You answer questions about your room, dimensions, layout, openings, intended use and preferences. Lumina uses that information to create the outputs included in the package you select. Depending on the package shown at the time of purchase, outputs may include a lighting plan, lighting recommendations, fixture information, a summary, an Electrician Pack and downloadable files. The exact contents of your purchase are those described on the relevant product and checkout pages when you order.
3. Design guidance - not an electrical or site survey
Lumina provides design-planning guidance. It is not an on-site survey, structural assessment, electrical safety inspection, building-control approval or substitute for the professional judgement of the electrician or contractor carrying out the work. Concealed services, joists, structure, existing circuits, fire requirements, local restrictions and other site conditions can affect whether a recommendation can be installed. All electrical work must be checked and carried out by an appropriately qualified person in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and safety requirements.
4. Information you provide
The usefulness of your Lumina output depends on the information you provide. You are responsible for checking that measurements, geometry, openings, ceiling information, intended use and other project details are accurate before purchasing or generating an output. If your room or project changes after an output is created, the existing output may no longer be suitable.
5. Prices and payment
The total price will be shown before you place your order. ONESMALLSTUDIO LTD is not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged on Lumina prices. Lumina consumer purchases are one-off purchases unless a product is expressly described otherwise. There is no recurring subscription merely for using or holding a Lumina account. Payment is processed using the payment method presented at checkout.
6. Ordering and contract formation
Before you place your order, you will be given an opportunity to review the main characteristics of the product or service and the total price. You are responsible for checking your order details before submitting it. We will confirm your order as soon as reasonably possible. The confirmation and these terms should be retained for your records.
7. Digital delivery and performance
Lumina is supplied digitally. Following successful payment, we will make available or begin creating the digital product or service described at checkout. Any generation or delivery time displayed on the website is an estimate unless we expressly state that it is guaranteed. If a paid output fails to generate or is materially incomplete because of a Lumina technical failure, contact us. Where appropriate we will restore access, correct or regenerate the affected output, or provide another remedy required by law.
8. Cancellation rights and refunds
Your statutory rights are not affected. Online consumer purchases can carry cancellation rights, but the precise right depends on whether the Lumina purchase is legally characterised as a service, digital content or another form of supply, and on when performance or supply begins. Lumina is supplied as a service. Where you retain a statutory right to cancel, we will honour it. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have where the product or service is faulty, not as described, not supplied with reasonable care and skill, or otherwise fails to meet rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. To request cancellation, a refund or another remedy, contact lumina@onesmallstudio.co.uk and include the email address used for the order and relevant order details.
9. Faulty or non-conforming digital output
Where consumer law gives you a right to repair, replacement, repeat performance, price reduction, refund or another remedy, those rights are not excluded by these terms. Please contact us promptly with enough information to identify the order and the problem.
10. Intellectual property and permitted use
Lumina, its website, branding, methodology, templates, software and underlying content are owned by us or our licensors. Subject to payment of the applicable fee, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use and share the project outputs generated for your project for planning, procurement and implementation of that project. You may share the output with your household, electrician, contractor, supplier or project professional for that purpose. You may not resell Lumina, reproduce the service as a competing product, systematically extract its content or use the service or outputs to train or develop a competing service without our written permission.
11. Website availability and changes
We aim to keep the website and service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may maintain, update or change the website and service. We will not use a website change to remove rights that have already arisen under a completed consumer purchase.
12. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or rights that cannot be excluded under consumer law. We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that are not foreseeable, business losses arising from consumer use, or installation decisions made without the professional and site-specific checks described in these terms. Lumina cannot verify physical conditions that are not supplied to it and is not responsible for inaccuracies caused by incorrect, incomplete or outdated project information provided by the customer.
13. Third-party products and links
The website may link to third-party products, suppliers or websites. Unless we expressly say otherwise, those third parties are independent from Lumina. Their own terms, warranties, availability and privacy practices apply to purchases or interactions with them.
14. Privacy and cookies
We process personal data as described in the Lumina Privacy Policy and use cookies and similar technologies as described in the Cookie Policy. Please read both documents.
15. Complaints and customer support
If something goes wrong, contact us at lumina@onesmallstudio.co.uk. Include enough information for us to identify your order and investigate. We will seek to resolve complaints fairly and within a reasonable time.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the website, service, business or law. The current version will be published with its effective date. Changes will not retrospectively reduce statutory rights attached to a purchase already made.
17. Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory consumer protections available to you. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their local courts where applicable.
